Police track down two men beating each other in viral clip

IPOH: The police are tracking down two men seen attacking each other with helmets, as shown in a video clip that has gone viral on social media.

In the 20-second clip, the two motorcyclists were seen attacking each other with their helmets and there was a woman who stood close to them.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said police came across the video that had gone viral after it was uploaded by a Facebook page, InfoRoadblock.

Yahaya said the video clip purportedly showed both men fighting each other with their helmets for unknown reasons.

"The incident is believed to have happened at Laluan Klebang Jaya, Chemor on a date and time which has yet to be ascertained.

"As such, a police report has been lodged and we are tracking down the men involved in the incident to help in the investigation," he said adding that the case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing an affray.

Yahaya, in a statement, also urged those who recorded the video or any witnesses to contact Assistant Superintendent Norshaharah Marzuki at 010-379 0508 to assist with the investigation.

He also advised the public to refrain from making speculations in relation to the case as it could jeopardise the investigation.
