KUALA LUMPUR: Ninety-nine areas in Selangor are expected to have an unscheduled water supply cut due to a burst pipe at Jalan Bukit Cherakah in Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor.
The water disruption is expected to start from 9am on May 22 until 3am the next day.
In a statement on Facebook, Pengurusan Air Selangor said water supply is expected to fully recover by 9am on May 24.
"The emergency repair works involve a main distribution pipe with a diameter of 2,200mm and a large-scale distribution area. Therefore, the repair works and recovery period will require a longer time.
"However, if the leak becomes critical, the emergency repair works will begin earlier than the date mentioned earlier."
Air Selangor added, the duration of the water supply and recovery will vary depending on the location and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Hence, the consumers are advised to store an adequate water supply and use water prudently during the period.
Consumers are also advised to call Air Selangor contact centre at 15300 for further inquiries or submit the complaints on the website www.airselangor.com.
