Video game featuring Malaysian car models gets hearts racing on TikTok [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: A car and digital art enthusiast has revealed on TikTok a racing video game that he is developing featuring Malaysian car models.

Despite still being a work in progress, developer Azihim Shurizal's efforts has earned praise from social media users.

Many netizens were impressed with the game because it used car models from Proton and Perodua.

The player can choose the car's model, make, colours and other specifications.

Resembling the popular 'Need for Speed' game, it allows the player to mix and match the car components and challenge another player to a race. Many social media users believe the game could be a hit.

Azihim also revealed the possible name for his video game, "Lajoo" which is a spin on the Malay word for "fast".

Some netizens were so excited with the project that they even offered to collaborate with Azihim.

One TikTok user Zayn Amin said: "Launch it soon, bang... hopefully we could customise widebody (vehicles) too."

Aimiii said: "Once it is launched, I'll be the first to play it."

Another TikTok user Muhammad Sufi said he could help with icons used in the game.

"Assalamualaikum, bang. If you need game icons, I could do it for only RM20. High quality."
