KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has tabled a motion in the Dewan Rakyat on the landslide in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor which has claimed 24 lives so far.
Anwar, who is also the Tambun MP, expressed his condolences to the victims and families of the tragedy.
"The lower house is saddened by the tragic event involving 94 victims, including children and foreigners.
"Until today, 61 victims were successfully found, 24 victims were declared dead at the scene, and nine are still missing."
On Friday morning, the Father's Organic Farm campsite at Gohtong Jaya was struck by a landslide.
The search and rescue operation entered its fourth day today.
