Looks like it's going to be a wet Christmas

KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like it's going to be a wet Christmas this Sunday after the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) came out with a rainy forecast.

The department said that in the morning, rain is expected for most parts of Sabah including the interior, the west coast, Kudat and Sandakan, as well as Labuan.

""There is also a forecast of thunderstorms and rain in a few areas, namely coastal Pahang, east Johor and Sarawak involving the state's districts and towns of Kuching, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang.

"In the evening, rain is expected over most of Sabah in the interior areas, the west coast, Kudat, Sandakan and Labuan. Meanwhile, there are thunderstorms and rain warnings in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Johor.

"There is also an inclement weather warning issued for Sarawak involving the districts, towns and cities of Kuching, Samarahan, Betong, Sri Aman, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang, while in Sabah, the Tawau area is likely to be affected.

"On Sunday night, it is expected to rain in most interior areas of Sabah, the west coast, Kudat, Sandakan and Labuan, as well as one or two areas in Sarawak (Miri and Limbang)," the department said.
