#TECH: Ewon launches Tataplah app for co-operative bodies

KUALA LUMPUR: A co-operative body based in Putatan Sabah, Tanjong Keramat, has launched its first online cooperative application, Taptaplah, to increase the productivity of Tanjung Keramat Cooperative Malaysia Bhd's products and services via an app.

The app helps provide data and analysis for marketing and business performance of cooperatives as well as assist cooperatives in business digitisation.

Tanjong Keramat Cooperative Malaysia Berhad's chairman, Datuk Sri Yahya Hussin said Taptaplah focuses on business operations, experimenting with various business strategies, and easing the process of recruiting cooperative members.

"In line with the modern and digital global pattern, Tanjong Keramat Cooperative Malaysia Berhad is called to succeed in the digitisation agenda. Therefore, we have come forward with the release of the super app platform, Taptaplah, which can be used by all cooperative members in Malaysia and meet the needs and wants of the people. The platform is also a minimal investment for cooperatives to invest in digitisation, where all activities and financing of maintenance and improvements will be done through it," he added.

Meanwhile, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick said the Tataplah app aims to bridge the corporation activities closer to youngsters since they use online platforms for service subscriptions and product purchases more.

At the event, he also witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Tanjong Keramat Cooperative Malaysia Berhad and JD.com, the largest e-commerce company in China.

In conjunction with the launch, Tanjong Keramat Cooperation has also launched the Tabung Kasih Tanjong Keramat which was ideated with Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor (Neelofa).

The charity fund is a continuation of Kongsi Rezeki CSR and it will provide financial assistance to Khayla Adha Mirza, a 6-year-old Osteogenesis Imperfecta patient who has suffered over 40 broken bones.
