KUALA LUMPUR: LBS Bina Group Bhd has been named as the recipient of Malaysia Best Managed Companies 2023 by leading global consulting firm Deloitte.
This is the second consecutive year for the company to receive the award.
LBS Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Joey Lim Hock Guan received the award from Deloitte Malaysia chief executive officer Yee Wing Peng here on Thursday.
The award has been around since 1993 and hosted in more than 37 countries, is also a programme for leading businesses.
It recognises top privately-owned local companies which include listed entities with majority shares held privately for their organisational excellence and contributions to the economy.
Lim said LBS is honoured to be awarded as one of the winners of Malaysia's Best Managed Companies 2023 by Deloitte.
He added the award is a testament to the company's continuous success, with an emphasis on its core values that is to deliver quality homes based on its three main pillars which is affordability, connectivity and community.
"With nearly 500 employees, this award is a recognition of the work we do every day to embody a dynamic culture while executing the strategies that make us successful.
"It is exciting to witness the growth of LBS through the years and our efforts being recognised," Lim said.
Executive director Datuk Cynthia Lim said the company has invested RM60 million in establishing an industrialised building system in order to reduce construction time, minimise material wastage, resolve labour issues, reduce environmental impact and enhance overall quality.
"Commencing in 2018 with the inauguration of a mobile plant in LBS Alam Perdana, followed by the unveiling of a permanent plant in Nilai in March 2019, this investment underscores LBS' steadfast dedication to sustainable and innovative practices," she said.
