NIBONG TEBAL: The Education Ministry is prepared to deal with contingencies, including floods, during the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination that starts next week.
"Education departments are ready, especially in states often or expected to be hit by flooding," minister Fadhlina Sidek said.
"The ministry is also working closely with the National Disaster Management Agency to ensure flood equipment is in place.
"Hopefully, there is no flooding as we want our children to face the examination in the safest condition," she told newsmen at SJK(T) Nibong Tebal here today.
She was at the school to present aid to 150 pupils from five Tamil primary schools.
Fadhlina also said all schools can serve as examination centres or flood relief shelters.
