KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a snake seeking refuge inside a man's shoe has gone viral on social media.
The 15-second footage shared by @CoachSamAdnan on TikTok has raised concerns for public safety, particularly during the current hot weather in Malaysia.
The video has garnered thousands of views since it was posted early today.
@CoachSamAdnan said the footage served as an alarming warning to others to be on the lookout for similar incidents amid the intensifying heat.
The snake in the viral clip has the features of a cobra, a venomous snake. It has a broad triangular head, clearly visible as it was in an upright position in the shoe.
Malaysia is currently experiencing hot weather.
Experts had in the past warned that heat could drive the reptiles to seek refuge inside homes and urged people to be wary.
