KUALA LUMPUR: Capital A Bhd has renamed its digital travel platform airasia SuperApp to airasia MOVE as part of its new identity.
The aviation and travel lifestyle company has also named Nadia Omer as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of airasia MOVE to reflect the transformation.
Nadia, who was CARS24 chief marketing officer, replaced acting airasia SuperApp CEO Mohamad Hafidz Mohd Fadzil.
CARS24 is an Indian multinational online used car marketplace.
MOVE Digital executive chairman and Capital A CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the reason for the name change is to transform itself as a travel and lifestyle business.
"Why MOVE? That's our main business - we move people."
"Over the next few months, airasia SuperApp will be airasia MOVE with light green (branding) colour replacing red," he said in a media briefing here today / yesterday.
Also as part of a new identify, airasia Digital is renamed to MOVE Digital Sdn Bhd.
MOVE Digital continues to be a holding company for airasia MOVE and Big Pay, a digital personal loan product.
