ALOR STAR: The family of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub has requested for privacy over his health condition.
Salahuddin's daughter, Siti Fatihah, said her father was still being treated at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) here.
"My father, Salahuddin Ayub, is still under the attentive care and close monitoring of the medical team at HSB in Alor Star.
"Upon the advice of doctors and the family's request, I kindly ask for space so that only family are allowed to make visits," she said in a statement today.
Fatihah also expressed appreciation for all support and prayers extended to Salahuddin.
"I also request to everyone to continue praying for my father's wellbeing," she added.
On Friday, Salahuddin was rushed to the hospital at about 10.15pm, after developing nausea and vomiting.
Yesterday, he was placed in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit after underdoing surgery to treat a brain haemorrhage.
